CRE Redline ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our document summarization service ("the Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address for authentication purposes.

Uploaded documents: When you use the Service, you upload .docx files containing lease agreements, letters of intent, or similar documents. These documents may contain personally identifiable information, confidential business terms, or privileged communications.

Generated summaries: The AI-generated summaries of your documents are stored in our database and associated with your account.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage data such as upload times, document sizes, and feature usage for service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Authenticate your account
• Process your uploaded documents and generate summaries
• Store your summaries so you can access them from your dashboard
• Improve the Service

We do not sell, rent, or share your documents or their contents with any third party except as described in Section 4.

4. Third-Party Processing

To generate summaries, your document content (specifically, the tracked changes and surrounding text) is sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude AI) for processing. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy and data handling policies. We send only the extracted tracked changes and minimal surrounding context — not necessarily the entire document.

Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel (application hosting) and InstantDB (database, authentication, and file storage). Your data is stored and processed by these providers according to their respective privacy policies and security practices.

5. Data Retention

Your uploaded documents and generated summaries are retained in your account until you delete them. You may delete any document and its associated summary at any time from your dashboard. Upon deletion, the data is removed from our active database.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and encryption at rest (256-bit AES). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload any document you submit to the Service. Do not upload documents that are subject to confidentiality restrictions or protected privilege unless you have verified that doing so is permissible.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored documents and summaries
• Delete your documents and summaries at any time
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the Service

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication purposes only. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
